1	Spring 2024 classes begin on Monday, January 8, and end on Monday, April 15.
2	The reading period, scheduled for April 16-21, is subject to change in the event inclement weather or other extraordinary conditions occur during the semester and require the addition of make-up days at the end of the semester. Classes will be scheduled on days designated for reading period if needed. Students and faculty should reserve these days for potential classes at the end of the semester and not make travel plans during the days designated for reading period.
3	Introduction to Analytical Skills II will meet for 10 weeks during the semester. The day sections will have their first class meeting on Friday, January 12 and will have their last scheduled class meeting on Friday, March 22. The evening section will have its first class meeting on Tuesday, January 16 and will have its last scheduled class meeting on Tuesday, March 26.
4	Appellate Advocacy is a required course for students who enter the College of Law in Fall 2021 and later. Prerequisites: Legal Research and Writing I and Legal Research and Writing II.
5	Products Liability -- Students who have taken Advanced Topics in Law A: Products Liability (LAW 6932, Spring 2021 and Summer 2021) may not enroll in LAW 6702 Products Liability.
6	Prerequisite: Constitutional Law I and Constitutional Law II.
7	Prerequisite: Evidence is the prerequisite for Trial Practice
8	Prerequisite: Trial Practice is the prerequisite for Advanced Trial Practice.
9	Prerequisite: Appellate Advocacy
10	Prerequisites have been waived for International Law of the Use of Force and Armed Conflict.
11	Advanced Topics in Law: Federal Practice Workshop will meet offsite in Judge Kidd's courtroom at the George C. Young Federal Annex Courthouse, 401 West Central Boulevard, Courtroom 4C.
12	Law Clinic – Application and permission required. Once a student accepts an offer for a clinic position, the Registrar will provide registration permission for course registration. Students are not permitted to drop the clinic without approval of the Clinic Office. Students may not withdraw from clinics after the end of the Add/Drop period. Questions? 13	Law Clinic Meeting Time and Mandatory Orientation – The meeting time for Law Clinics will be determined in coordination with students enrolled. Students enrolling in a clinic must attend a mandatory orientation. The clinic faculty will set the date and time of the orientation.
14	Students enrolling in the Guardian Ad Litem Clinic must be available Wednesday mornings or afternoons to attend dependency court hearings.
15	Field Placement - Application and permission required. Students who are approved to enroll will be notified. The Registrar will provide registration permission for course registration. Questions? Contact Professor Mark Dorosin.
16	The classroom portion of Field Placement will meet on four Fridays during the semester from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm in Room 257. The dates of those classes are January __, February __, March ___, and April ___. CLASS ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED.
17	Upper-Level Writing Requirement – This seminar may satisfy the Upper-Level Writing Requirement. Contact the professor for more information regarding the specific requirements of this seminar. 18	Students in this course may elect to write a substantial research paper that may satisfy the Upper-Level Writing Requirement. 19	Experiential Learning Requirement – This is a simulation course that counts toward satisfaction of the Experiential Learning Requirement. 20	This Spring 2024 Advanced Topics in Law course has been approved by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs to count toward satisfaction of the Experiential Learning Requirement.
